The Long Version

The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth According to King James Version Bible.

A Presentation:

Do you believe the Bible is true?

The Bible says we are all sinners.

Romans 3 KJV

“10 As it is written, There is NONE righteous, no, NOT ONE:

23 For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”

Have you lied before?  Or had a foolish thought?  Or not done something you know you should do?  The Bible says that all 3 of these things are sin.

Revelation 21:8 KJV

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,

and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE and brimstone: which is the SECOND DEATH.”

Proverbs 24:9 KJV

“The THOUGHT of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.”

James 4:17 KJV

“Therefore to him that KNOWETH to do good, and doeth it not, TO HIM it is sin.”

____________

The WAGES of sin is DEATH, which, we all die, but those who die without believing on the Lord Jesus Christ go to a place which we know as HELL, which will be cast into the LAKE OF FIRE, which is the SECOND DEATH.

Romans 6:23 KJV

“For the WAGES of sin is DEATH; but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.”

WAGES are something we earn for something we have done.  The WAGES of sin is DEATH, this is referring to the SECOND DEATH which is HELL, the LAKE OF FIRE.

Revelation 20:14 KJV

“14 And DEATH and HELL were cast into the LAKE OF FIRE. This is the SECOND DEATH.”

Everyone passes from this life, which is why Eternal life is the only life that really matters, those who do not have eternal life are spiritually dead, and when they die they will forever remain physically dead as well.  Because Jesus Christ of Nazareth IS LIFE, and apart from him there is no life.  We who are saved will receive glorified eternal spiritual bodies and are alive forevermore, incorruptible, and we have life everlasting.

THE NATURAL MAN

The Bible uses the term NATURAL MAN to describe the unsaved man, the man who is not born again, who has not believed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

“But the NATURAL MAN receiveth NOT the things of the Spirit of God: for they are FOOLISHNESS unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:21 KJV

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the FOOLISHNESS of preaching to save them that believe.”

The Bible says…

1 Corinthians 15 KJV

“42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in INCORRUPTION:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a NATURAL body; it is raised a SPIRITUAL body. There is a NATURAL body, and there is a SPIRITUAL body.”

John 3:36 KJV

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

But the body of the dead, that is, those without Christ, will be RESURRECTED unto DAMNATION, and they are not alive, for they shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on them, and there will be unquenchable fire, torment, weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

John 5:29 KJV

“And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the RESURRECTION of LIFE; and they that have done evil, unto the RESURRECTION of DAMNATION.”

The Bible says that HELL is where the dead are.

Notice how the DEAD are judged according to their WORKS.

Revelation 20:12-15 KJV

“12 And I saw the DEAD, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE: and the DEAD were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their WORKS.

13 And the sea gave up the DEAD which were in it; and death and HELL delivered up the DEAD which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their WORKS.

14 And death and HELL were cast into the LAKE OF FIRE. This is the SECOND DEATH.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE.”

The Bible says that is the TRANSGRESSION of the law.

1 John 3:4 KJV

“Whosoever committeth sin TRANSGRESSETH also the law: for SIN is the TRANSGRESSION of the law.”

The Bible also says that the LAW is PERFECT.  The reason God gave us the law and the commandments is because he knows what is best for us.

Proverbs 11:19 KJV

“As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.”

Psalms 19:7 KJV

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.”

Psalms 119:165

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

Romans 7:12 KJV

“10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

1 Timothy 1:8 KJV

“But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;”

But no-one can keep the whole law.  The Bible says

James 2:10

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

Romans 3:20

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

Genesis 2 KJV

“16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Romans 5:12-21 KJV

“12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

So basically

Before Adam, there was no death, after Adam sinned death entered into the world, and because we all descend from Adam, we inherit his sin nature, and so we sin, and so we die spiritually also once we come to the knowledge of good and evil and we sin however small our sin may be.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth also descends directly from Adam, Jesus is the Son of Man, meaning he is fully human.

That right

And Jesus was also conceived by the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, which means that Joseph is NOT Jesus’s father, but the Heavenly Father is Jesus’s Father.

Luke 1 KJV

“30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

This is how he is able to take our sin in his own body as a man, and die with our sin, and pay for our sin in hell, AND rise from the dead to eternal life as God.

Remember how we talked about hell?

See we deserve hell. That’s the bad news, now here is the GOOD NEWS! Jesus took our place on the cross, and paid for our sins in hell!

The Bible says Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the LIGHT, and He himself said that He IS the LIFE!

John 14:6 KJV

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The Bible says Jesus IS the WORD, and by Him all things were created, the Bible says that God SPOKE LIGHT into existence.

John 1 KJV

“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 IN HIM WAS LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

God SPOKE LIGHT into existence.

Genesis 1 KJV

“1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God SAID, Let there be LIGHT: and there was LIGHT.”

Speaking about Jesus Christ of Nazareth, John the Baptist said in

John 1 KJV

“4 IN HIM WAS LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.”

Jesus said that His words ARE LIFE.

John 6:63 KJV

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they are spirit, and THEY ARE LIFE.”

Jesus said in

John 5:24 KJV

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that HEARETH MY WORD, and BELIEVETH on him that sent me, HATH everlasting LIFE, and shall NOT come into condemnation; but IS passed from death unto LIFE.”

John 3:16-18 KJV

“16 For God so loved the world, that HE GAVE his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should NOT perish, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED.

18 He that BELIEVETH on him is NOT condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

Remember the Bible said in

Romans 6:23 KJV

“For the WAGES of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.”

God says in

John 11:25-26 KJV

“25 Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection, and the LIFE: he that BELIEVETH IN ME, THOUGH HE WERE DEAD, YET SHALL HE LIVE:

26 And WHOSOEVER LIVETH and BELIEVETH IN ME shall never die. BELIEVEST thou this?”

Revelation 20:14-15 KJV

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the lake of fire.”

____________

But God does NOT want us to go to HELL, he wants to save us.

2 Peter 3:9 KJV

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Repentance here just means to have a change of mind, or heart.

In Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV the Bible says that we are saved by FAITH, NOT of WORKS.

Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV

“8 For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God:

9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.”

In Jonah 3:10 KJV the Bible defines WORKS.

Jonah 3:10 KJV

“And God saw their WORKS, that they TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAY; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”

Also we see that God repented, which means He changed His mind, not repented of His sin, we know that GOD HAS NO SIN.

Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV

“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and WITHOUT INIQUITY, just and right is he.”

The Bible says the we are NOT saved by TURNING “FROM THEIR EVIL WAY.”

Romans 4:5-6 KJV

“5 But to him that WORKETH NOT, BUT BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness WITHOUT WORKS,”

Romans 5:8 KJV

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. “

Romans 5:6 KJV

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

1 John 2:2 KJV

“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but

also for the sins of the whole world.”

____________

Originally, God created Adam and Eve in paradise, and there was no death, but Adam sinned and sin entered the world, and death by sin.  So God came to fix it.

1 Corinthians 15:21-22 KJV

“21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

Romans 5 KJV

“12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

____________

The Bible says God came to earth in the form of a man, his name is Jesus Christ, and today, he sits at the right hand of God the Father.

1 Timothy 3:16 KJV

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

Revelation 19:13 KJV

“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”

John 1 KJV

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

John 3:16-18 KJV

“16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

____________

The only begotten Son of God is from Nazareth.

Acts 10:38 KJV

“How God anointed JESUS OF NAZARETH with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the only way to heaven.

Acts 4:10-12 KJV

“10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

____________

⬇️ AND THIS IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH.  ⬇️

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV

“1 Moreover, brethren, I DECLARE UNTO YOU THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 BY WHICH also YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures;

4 And that HE WAS BURIED, AND that HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES:”

⬆️ AND THAT IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH. ⬆️

The God says in the Bible that Jesus Christ of Nazareth took our sin in his own body, died with them and went to hell to pay for them.

2 Corinthians 5:21

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

1 Peter 2 KJV

“21 Christ also suffered for us,

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

24 Who his own self BARE OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BODY on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Matthew 12:39-40 KJV

“39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

Revelation 1:18 KJV

“I am he that liveth, and was DEAD; and, behold, I AM ALIVE for evermore, Amen; and HAVE THE KEYS of HELL and of DEATH.”

Matthew 28:18 KJV

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

John 10:18 KJV

“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”

John 15:13 KJV

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Romans 5:8 KJV

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

____________

Jesus paid for our sins.

1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

The Bible says when we get saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.  The Bible says it is the “earnest of our inheritance,” earnest is like the non-refundable down payment deposit that we put on a house, which assures the seller that we are committed to buy, it’s basically the same thing as buying a home, and this is what God is saying, he has bought us, and he gives us the Holy Spirit which we can not lose and will never leave us.  God said he will never leave us nor forsake us.

Ephesians 1:12-14 KJV

“12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Revelation 1:5 KJV

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,”

____________

Because Jesus paid for our sins, believing in him is the only way we can get forgiven of our sins.

John 14:6 KJV

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

____________

Here is how we can know we are saved, and know for certain and be 100% sure that we are going to heaven.

Acts 16:30-31 KJV

“30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

The Bible says…

Hebrews 11:3 KJV

“Through faith we understand”

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Romans 10:17 KJV

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The Bible says.

Romans 10:13 KJV

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Matthew 12:34 KJV

“out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

Romans 10:9-10 KJV

“9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

John 20:31 KJV

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

1 John 5:10-13 KJV

“10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

____________

Jesus Explains that we must be born again, and he explains what that means, see we are all born of the flesh by our mother, but only those who are born again of the Holy Spirit will enter into heaven.

John 3:5-6 KJV

“5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

If you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, tell God you believe them and say this simple prayer.

God, I know I’m a sinner and I deserve hell,

I believe you sent your son Jesus Christ of Nazareth to die for my sins,

I believe he died for my sins, was buried, and rose again to eternal life,

I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

I’m only trusting in you Jesus to save me,

please save me right now,

please give me eternal life,

please come into my heart,

fill me with the Holy Ghost,

and take me to heaven when I die,

Thank you for saving me,

I love you,

it is in Jesus’s name I pray,

Amen.

____________

When we get saved, we receive the Holy Ghost, which is the same as the Holy Spirit!

John 14:16-18 KJV

“16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

Jesus breathed the Holy Ghost onto his disciples after they saw him risen from the dead, and they believed, this is the same as us!  After we believe that Jesus rose from the dead, we receive the Holy Ghost.

John 20:21-22 KJV

“21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:”

The Bible says the Holy Ghost washes us regenerating us, and renews us.

Titus 3:5 KJV

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

We can not lose our salvation.

Jesus said it is better that he goes away, otherwise the helper will not come, meaning that once he dies, then we can receive the permanent indwelling of the Holy Ghost.

John 16:7 KJV

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

Acts 1:8 KJV

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The Bible says the Holy Spirit lives in us, and that we should not grieve it, which happens if we sin, because God hates sin, and the Holy Spirit is God.

Ephesians 4:30 KJV

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

1 Corinthians 3 KJV

“16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

Romans 15:13 KJV

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

____________

Once we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we can get baptized.

Acts 8:34-38

King James Version

“34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; WHAT DOTH HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED?

37 And Philip said, IF THOU BELIEVEST WITH ALL THINE HEART, THOU MAYEST. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”

God says that it is not baptism that saves us, but it gives us a good conscience toward God.

1 Peter 3:21 KJV

“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”

Jesus was baptized.

The Bible says Jesus came “out of the water,” this suggests complete water submersion, which is how we ought to be baptized.

Matthew 3:16-17 KJV

“16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

We are commanded to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 28:19 KJV

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

So after we believe, we need to get baptized by FULL WATER SUBMERSION, as Jesus is described as having been baptized!

____________

Immediately after we are saved we should begin or continue reading the word of God.

Hosea 4:6 KJV

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Hebrews 4:12 KJV

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

“16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

Matthew 24:35 KJV

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Proverbs 4 KJV

“20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Proverbs 30:5-6 KJV

“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”

John 1:1 KJV

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:14 KJV
