How to go soul-winning.
Step 1. (Having a church pamphlet/tract/schedule in your hand approach the house using the sidewalk, never take shortcuts or walk on the grass. Walk up to the door with a smile on your face and ring the doorbell once if they have one, or knock on the door with a friendly but loud knock, I usually use the – -… – – -… …- – method, where – is a knock. Now back away from the door and wait 1 minute.
Step 2. If they do not answer, repeat step 1. If they do not answer after 2 knocks in 2 minutes carefully slide your church pamphlet/tract/schedule in the door, smile and go to the next house. Keep repeating this until someone answers.
Step 3. (When someone answers the door SMILE! Look them in the eyes and say “Hi I’m ____________ with ____________ church, I’m just out here inviting people to church.” (While your saying this smile and hold out your arm and see if you can hand them a church pamphlet/tract/schedule.) Then pause and see if they say anything.
Not Interested/No Time: If they say they are not interested or they don’t have time right now be respectful, smile and kindly say “Ok thank you for your time.” (If they took a pamphlet/tract/schedule smile, wave, and add “I hope to see you at church!”
Open/Receptive/Friendly/Talkative: If after handing them the pamphlet/tract/schedule they don’t say anything, or they are open/receptive/friendly/or talkative, smile and ask, “Do you go to church anywhere?” (There’s a wide variety of answers that will be given.) But if you’ve gotten this far in the conversation, you can proceed to step 4.
Step 4. Smile and say, “Can I ask you a quick question?” They will usually say yes. “If you died today, are you 100% sure you’d go to heaven?” You’ll get a wide variety of answers, but you need to interpret what you hear and translate it into either a yes or no, because those really are the only two answers.
Yes: If they say yes, say, “And how do you think we get there?” Again, you’ll receive a wide variety of answers, but there are really only two answers, right and wrong.
Wrong: Examples of wrong answers are “I hope so.” “I try to live a good life, be a good person, do good things.” “Believing in Jesus and asking forgiveness for your sins.” (We aren’t saved by asking forgiveness for our sins, we’re saved by believing Jesus Christ died for our sins.) “Believing in Jesus and living a good life, being a good person, doing good things.” “Believing in Jesus and repenting of your sins. (repenting means to have a change in heart and mind, which is what happens when we believe.
1.The problem Part 1 We’re all sinners.
Romans 3
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
2.The problem Part 2
The wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
3.The solution
God has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ who paid for our sins.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
1 Corinthians 15
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Romans 10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 3
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Acts 16
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Luke 18
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 9
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
4. After getting saved

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
John 20
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Genesis 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
Matthew 9
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Romans 10
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
John 11
